The Under 21's side have picked up their second win of the season. Currently sitting bottom of the league, City faced a tough test away to top of the league Kingsley at Chichester Park. Rockingham were able to take some confidence from the last fixture they played against Canning City, resulting in their first victory, and needed to carry on the momentum which had begun the week previous. At the Kick Off this looked like it clearly would not be the case, City looking asleep invited Kingsley to attack with a flourish and only took 21 minutes for the home side to go ahead. The wake up call had sounded and Rockingham stepped up their play a notch, producing some glimpses of free flowing football. An increased period of possession allowed Ash Kavanagh the opportunity to capitalise on a clever through ball and put Rockingham level. Corey Woods pulled off some sensational saves to keep his team alive and give the defence some confidence. A goalmouth scramble following an attempt to lob the keeper saw Ryan Tiplady snatch a second for Rockingham sending the boys into the second half 2-1 up. The intensity of the game lifted in the second half and Rockingham had to dig deep to absorb the onslaught of Kingsley's attack. Woods was tested to his limits in goal throughout the second half, yet passed with flying colours making some unbelievable saves. The clock ticked down and Rockingham reflected on how kindly the ball had rolled for them today as the referee blew the final whistle and City fled Kingsley with another 3 points in the bag.
